Carrie Topley

Carrie is a music tutor based in south London. She has played the violin since the age of 7. She was leader of her school orchestra and a member of the Brighton Youth orchestra.

Carrie plays violin in Gertie and her Gaiety, a band that plays ragtime,chanson and swing. Some of her session playing highlights have been with Mary Hampton’s Cotillion for BBC6 music, and playing second fiddle for the Moulettes at Islington Assembly Hall.

She also plays mandolin and is an avid singer of English madrigals.
